The Middle East is one of the regions where private aviation reaches its highest standards. The airports of Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh and Doha have invested massively in business aviation terminals worthy of the finest palace hotels, and local operators have mastered the protocol requirements of a royal, diplomatic and ultra-high-net-worth clientele. But operating in this region requires specific expertise in regulations, permit management and coordination with local authorities — expertise that FFGR Jets has built operation by operation.
Dubai: Al Maktoum and the World's Reference FBO
Dubai World Central — Al Maktoum International (OMDW) and Dubai International (OMDB) are the two platforms concentrating the bulk of private aviation traffic to the emirate. The ExecuJet Dubai terminal at Al Maktoum is regularly ranked among the three best FBOs in the world: 2,000 m² VIP lounge, private rest suite, on-demand private chef, Rolls-Royce limousine service included in the handling rate.
Regulatory constraints in Dubai are real: overflight permits for UAE airspace must be filed between 24 and 72 hours before the flight depending on the nationality of the crew and aircraft owner. FFGR Jets manages the entire administrative chain, often in coordination with our local representatives based in Dubai, to guarantee approval without delay.
Riyadh: The Capital in Transformation
Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Airport in Riyadh and the Riyadh Air VIP Terminal now offer facilities commensurate with Saudi Vision 2030 ambitions. Aircraft registered in certain countries must obtain specific authorisations from the GACA (General Authority of Civil Aviation), with lead times of up to 5 working days during periods of intense diplomatic activity.
For clients travelling to Saudi Arabia, FFGR Jets recommends planning the flight with a minimum of 96 hours' notice. Our team maintains direct relationships with several GACA-approved handlers in Riyadh, enabling procedures to be accelerated in the vast majority of cases. On board, we adapt the service to the cultural preferences of each client, including certified halal catering.
Abu Dhabi: Refinement and State Protocol
Abu Dhabi International Airport and the new Al Bateen Executive Airport VIP terminal (OMAD) represent two distinct options depending on the client profile. Al Bateen, exclusively reserved for business aviation and state flights, offers a level of confidentiality and service unmatched in the region. The vast majority of Al Nahyan family members and their guests transit through this terminal.
UAE entry formalities by private jet are streamlined, but require precise coordination with local immigration. FFGR Jets manages the entire passenger dossier, from visa verification to special authorisations for nationals of certain countries, in collaboration with our permanent representative in Abu Dhabi.
Doha: Qatar's Rising Power
Qatar, since the 2022 World Cup, has considerably invested in its business aviation infrastructure. The VIP terminal at Hamad International Airport (OTHH) now features lounge suites worthy of a five-star palace hotel, with a team dedicated to private aviation passengers available in Arabic, English, French and Mandarin. Fast connection to Lusail, the Corniche and the luxury hotels of the city centre is provided by convoy.
Doha is also a strategic stopover for long-haul flights connecting Europe to South-East Asia or Australia. For Ultra Long Range aircraft, it offers an ideal geographical position to break a very long-distance flight with a high-quality technical stop, without compromising the comfort or discretion of the client.
Our Operational Commitments in the Region
FFGR Jets has a network of permanent representatives in all four capitals mentioned. Every flight to the region is preceded by a full operational briefing with the crew on local specificities: airspace restrictions, immigration procedures, protocol sensitivities and emergency contacts. Nothing is left to chance.
For regular clients on Europe–Gulf routes, we also offer à-la-carte flight contracts to block priority slots on dedicated aircraft with a permanent crew. This formula guarantees maximum availability even during peak periods of regional activity — Ramadan, diplomatic events, fashion weeks — when demand for private flights frequently exceeds available supply.
