Private Jet Paris to London: The 55-Minute Alternative to Eurostar

25 May 2026·5 min read

Paris to London is among the highest-frequency routes on the FFGR Jets network. The Eurostar is an excellent product — but it is not a private product. For UHNW executives who value schedule control, discretion, a dedicated working environment and a door-to-meeting-room time measured in minutes rather than hours, private charter between the two capitals is the rational choice.

The Route: From Le Bourget to London in 55 Minutes

The Paris–London sector is 55 minutes gate-to-gate on a Light Jet — typically a Cessna Citation CJ3+ or Embraer Phenom 300E. Add 20 minutes before departure for boarding at Le Bourget's private terminal, and 15 minutes ground time at London City (LCY) or Farnborough (FAB), and you have a total journey time of approximately 90 minutes from departure terminal to car departure at arrival.

Compare this to Eurostar: 2h15 station-to-station, plus travel to St-Pancras and from Gare du Nord, plus security queues during peak periods. For a principal travelling with an assistant, documents and a requirement to arrive composed and on time, the private jet is the more reliable and efficient option — before one accounts for the experience difference.

Terminal Experience: Le Bourget to Farnborough or London City

Le Bourget (LFPB) is FFGR's primary Paris departure terminal for London routes. The private terminal offers direct car access to the aircraft, a lounge with full amenities, and a security process that takes four minutes rather than forty. There is no queue. There is no public-facing process. The captain is waiting at the aircraft when you arrive.

London City Airport (EGLC) is preferred for clients heading to the City or Canary Wharf — a 15-minute drive under normal conditions. Farnborough (FAB) is preferred for Mayfair or the West End: the most premium private aviation facility in the UK, with a private customs process. Biggin Hill (EGKB) is an option for South London or Sussex destinations.

Pricing: What the Route Costs

A Light Jet charter from Paris to London is typically priced at EUR 6,200–8,500 depending on aircraft and departure slot. A return trip runs approximately EUR 11,500–14,000. For a senior executive with a loaded day rate, the cost of the return charter versus the efficiency and certainty of arrival in the right condition is not a difficult calculation.

The most efficient way to use this route is as part of a managed charter programme: clients who fly Paris–London four or more times per year can establish a structured relationship with FFGR that prioritises preferred departure slots, maintains catering preferences on record and provides ground coordination at both ends as a continuous service.

Same-Day Return: The Day-Trip Structure

The Paris–London same-day return is the most common structure on this route. Departure from Le Bourget at 07h00, arrival London City at 07h55, meetings from 09h00, departure Farnborough at 17h30, return Le Bourget at 18h25. The aircraft waits in London — repositioned to Farnborough or Biggin Hill as preferred — and the return is confirmed or adjusted as the day unfolds.

For clients whose London schedule is determined by the progress of negotiations, the flexibility of the return is the defining difference. A 17h30 departure can become an 18h00 departure with a phone call — an adjustment Eurostar cannot accommodate after ticket issuance. This margin of flexibility, applied across a year of travel, produces a material difference in planning confidence and delivered outcomes.
